Part of our team had the opportunity to attend the inauguration of the new decorative panels installed in the waiting room of the of the Ophthalmic Hospital child consultations (Gregorio Marañón).
The event was carried out by Luis Alberto Moreno, founding partner of Nfq, who emphasized how important our Foundation is for our Company, and explained the support work and voluntary activities we develop.
In Nfq we firmly believe in ethical values, that’s why we collaborate with the Ophtalmic Hospital (Gregorio Marañón) in Madrid since 2016.
This collaboration includes our regular visits to the hospital child consultations, where we develop some voluntary activities with kids, related to reading, playing, painting, laughing, having fun and helping them express their feelings through books and plastic arts.
A sample of our collaboration with the hospital is the ‘Painting Hospitals’ project. This initiative of our Foundation consists of the decoration or waiting rooms and consultations with panels decorated with drawings. By transforming them into magical, bright and interactive places, we help the children have a better stay at the hospital, for both kids and families.
The development of the panels has been part of this project. An illustrator has carried out the phases of design, illustration and assembly, a process that took around four months of efforts and hard work.
The aim of this project is to play down the importance of their optical diseases thanks to the pictures in which their favorite superheroes also wear glasses and patches.
